Description

Help your students achieve the next level of reading skills by teaching them these common letter pairs after they’ve mastered single letter sounds!

What is a digraph? A digraph is a combination of two letters that spell one sound. Two-letter blends, by contrast, have two distinct letter sounds.

These sets are all consonants digraphs (except TCH, which is technically a trigraph).

If you are teaching digraphs with vowels (ay, oa…), take a look at the Long Vowels Sounds word sets, too.

These are great~ I’ve been using your images for many years. Just back refreshing a few lost files and am finding a lot of new material! I wonder if you could eventually couple these words with image sets that go along with them for context.
    Thanks!

    Hi Jim,
It’s so nice to hear you’ve found the flashcards useful over the years!

Yes, it would be nice to have matching image cards to go with the phonics words… that may be a project I try to tackle over winter, but I can’t promise a timeline on that one. Sorry!

These are brilliant. They will save me so much time. Making these by hand is so time-consuming, and I only have one student. Absolutely perfect. Thank you so much for making them so freely available.
